Upcoming Ascon Clean Soil Import Work

Good afternoon,

Tomorrow, September 2, Ascon will receive clean soil import as part of the construction of the engineered cap. As many as 20 trucks will arrive onsite, and this work is expected to be completed in one day. Additional clean soil import may occur intermittently over the next two months, depending on weather, Site conditions and source availability.

Here is what you can expect to see:

• Work may occur between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Haul trucks enter Ascon from Hamilton Avenue and exit on Magnolia Street. Import haul trucks avoid the major intersection of Hamilton Ave. and Magnolia St. per the project’s approved haul route plan.
• Dust mitigation and traffic control measures are in place.
